The goal of the UCP Assistive Technology Lab is to give our clients, as well as other disabled members of the community a chance to use Assistive Technology. We hope that the people who come to this lab can leave with more valuable skills, a better understanding of the world, and most importantly a higher sense of self esteem.

In the Assistive Technology we have many devices that make using a computer both easy and fun for people with disabilities of all ages. We have, amongst other things, Switches, Intellikeys, Joystick Rollers, Reading Software, Braille Keyboards, and Games.

In March we opened the Assistive Technology Lab to adult members of the community, so that they can come here to get help typing, reading, and go on the internet to chat and meet new people and better explore the world around them. please call the UCP Assistive Technology Lab at 760-321-8184 Ext 7. or Email Us at cindy@ucpie.org.

The AT Lab is looking for volunteers to assist in The Learning circle, a new component of the lab that focuses on the education and cooperation of the families and community of our clients.

To volunteer, please call Cindy Stillman at (760) 321-8184 Ext 15
